    The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard (EEED) is an energy dashboard that takes data from building automation systems and displays it as real-time performance data These web-based displays can monitor gas, water, electricity, and other systems via internet, intranet, or LCD touchscreens. The EEED can be used by facilities managers to improve building performance, or by students as a teaching tool. Historical data can be compared with real-time data, and systems can be set up to “compete” with other buildings using the system. For added security, the client’s IT department works with Quality Automation Graphics to determine how to set up the network. The company claims that control of the system is turned over to the client, so once installed there are no additional fees or contracts. This EEED can be edited to display different data as the building use changes.

    Tendril's Insight energy monitor is a small, freestanding display for use in the home; the Vantage is an Internet-browser-based product. Both track the cost and consumption of electricity in real time and show consumption over time, while allowing the user to see what loads are responsible for what usage. They can also issue alerts from utilities. Tendril’s systems work in concert with special wireless-enabled devices, such as electrical outlets and meters, and with TREE, the Tendril Residential Ecosystem platform. Tendril’s systems provide fine-grained understanding and control but require an array of wireless devices—and the participation of utilities—to operate at their full potential.

Building Dashboard Kiosk is a touch-screen display that shows the real-time use of energy and water in an attractive and easy-to-understand manner, and Building Dashboard Network allows users to create community-wide comparisons and set up budgets. Most of the company’s systems have been installed at colleges and universities, including a system collecting data from 50 buildings at Elon University, but the company has several systems in commercial buildings as well.

The Qt 200 offers a maximum coverage of 24,000 ft2, while for the largest applications and technical versatility, the Qt 600 offers 72,000 ft2 of coverage in addition to an email error notification and safety alarm integration. All three models rely on Qt emitters, each of which covers 100 ft2, delivering four incoherent audio channels. These channels render ambient or indirect conversation effectively inaudible. The Oasis Qt is a "direct-field” system that does not need a plenum, so its 1.25-inch diameter emitters can be installed in ceiling tiles or directly on beams, furniture, or fixtures. These emitters work with the company’s paging technology and draw about 0.023 watts per emitter, using between 5 and 7 watts for an office system with 300 emitters placed on a standard ten-foot grid. All systems meet ASTM E1130 for speech privacy and can be turned off at night.
