After 15–20 seconds of draining, the steel aerosol can becomes recyclable. The puncturing tool screws onto the 2" bung of the drum, and a filter screws onto the 3/4" bung. The filter should be replaced every nine months, or 2,250 uses, and the Carbon Cartridge, the upper part of the filter, should be replaced every three months, or 750 uses. Aerosolv fits industry standard aerosol cans of any length, and special gaskets are available for cans of a smaller diameter. Aerosolv is the first and only aerosol recovery technology to be certified by the EPA's Environmental Technology Verification Program.
